Lives and work between Pakchong & Bangkok, Thailand
ATOM Pavarit graduated from the Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts, at Silpakorn University.
My work illustrates a critical perspective of social, political, and cultural issues.
I am keen on the role of art as a tool for expression and the reproduction of certain cultures in society. In the early stage of studying, I began my artwork with paintings, through a technique of symbolism combinations with historical events which lasted up to the midterm. I believe that art would be more valuable if it could reach out to people and communities, through engagement and participation. So I revised my artwork by connecting art to people and letting them be involved in creativity through workshops, alongside some art exhibitions that non-artists can join.
At the last stage of my degree, the crystallization of past contents and processes contributed to my thesis, as presented in mixed media art. This project was built by factors of various interpretations of materials including the content, special features, and functionality.
Therefore, this workpiece is quasi-experimental without a fixed format. On the other hand, it remains coherent with the same issue.
